  by author Edward P. Jones.\nThursday\, October 1\, 5pm\nRhodes-Rawlings A
 uditorium\, Klarman Hall KG70\n\nBorn and raised in Washington\, D.C. and 
 is still alive as of the day this is being printed\, Edward P. Jones is th
 e author of three works of fiction. The Known World (2003) was awarded the
  2004 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction and the 2005 International Dublin Literary
  Award. His short-story collections include Lost in the City (1992) and Al
 l Aunt Hagar’s Children (2006). In 2004\, he was awarded a MacArthur Fel
 lowship and in 2010\, he received the PEN/Malamud Award for excellence in 
 the art of the short story. \n\nReception and book signing to follow in th
