Description:

Matt Saleh of Cornell University’s Y-ReCONNECTS project and Jason Hoge, reentry attorney for Legal Assistance of Western New York, will lead this session. Their presentation will highlight practical barriers related to occupational licensing, certificates of relief, driver’s licenses, and other issues commonly faced by returning citizens.

We will also discuss best practices in interagency collaboration to serve justice-involved youth with disabilities, including empirical research findings related to increasing formal connections between non-core workforce partners. The session will conclude with participants engaging in action planning to overcome some of these barriers and improve the sustainability of collaborations.

Coffee and a light lunch will be served
