At Cornell, Michael majored in Human Development and minored in Law & Society and Inequality Studies. Michael served as Co-President of Students for Students, an organization that offers individualized tutoring and social support to incarcerated youth; and as a team leader for the Capital Jury Project, researching biases in the jury selection process of capital trials and the effects of those biases on the outcome of the case. After graduating from Cornell in 2021, Michael worked as a paralegal at a law firm in New York City. He now works for the Federal Defender Program, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, supporting trial and death penalty attorneys in a range of criminal cases.
