DESCRIPTION:Colombia managed to culminate in an agreement a complex process
of peace negotiations with one of the oldest guerrillas on the continent
(the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - FARC). However\, there remai
n important challenges related to the implementation of the agreements\, b
ut also to broader processes of reconciliation and peacebuilding\, involvi
ng all of Colombian society. \n\nIn this conference\, the two speakers wil
l address these questions from the perspective of their work in the field
of Human Rights and the attention to the victims of the Colombian armed co
nflict (Paula Gaviria) and from the perspective of academic research on th
e needs of the Reparation and the dynamics of reconciliation (Angelika Ret
 tberg).
