Colombia managed to culminate in an agreement a complex process of peace negotiations with one of the oldest guerrillas on the continent (the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - FARC). However, there remain important challenges related to the implementation of the agreements, but also to broader processes of reconciliation and peacebuilding, involving all of Colombian society. 

In this conference, the two speakers will address these questions from the perspective of their work in the field of Human Rights and the attention to the victims of the Colombian armed conflict (Paula Gaviria) and from the perspective of academic research on the needs of the Reparation and the dynamics of reconciliation (Angelika Rettberg).
