What Authority & Rights Do NFL Owners Have Over Player Conduct? / Join in person or via Zoom!
Tuesday, October 16, 2018 5:30pm to 6:30pm
About this Event
View mapSince 2016, many NFL players have engaged in the practice of kneeling while the national anthem is played before games to both protest and raise awareness of issues surrounding race, law enforcement, and criminal justice reform. These protests have been met with both praise and controversy by elected officials, social activists, and the general public across the political spectrum.
Join us for an interactive discussion with two of the nation's leading scholar-practitioners on labor/employment and sports law to consider the rights and authority of NFL owners with respect to player protests.
NOTE: We hope you will join us in person for this special panel discuss. However, if you are unable, we have made arrangements for you to view this presentation on Zoom:
