DESCRIPTION:The Cornell Small Farms Program project Farm OPS is providing a
  series of training workshops throughout 2019 for veterans interested in ag
 riculture. Veterans interested in these programs must be enrolled at a VA f
 acility in NYS (VISN2 area). \n\nJoin us for an introductory course on micr
 ogreens as we explore the basics of production under the guidance and instr
 uction of Todd McLane\, TC3 Farm Director and Assistant Adjunct Professor a
 t Tompkins Cortland Community College. \n\nThrough lecture and hands-on lea
 rning\, participants will gain insights into seeding and harvesting techniq
 ues\, equipment and supplies\, marketing strategies\, and more. Whether it'
 s for home use\, as a start-up enterprise\, or as a supplemental addition t
 o existing enterprises\, microgreens are a quick turn-over\, scalable\, and
  potentially profitable crop. \n\nThis workshop will be held at the EquiCen
 ter Farm\, and lunch is provided. \n\nIt is recommended that students arriv
 e around 9:30 a.m. to get coffee\, tea\, and snacks\, and get checked-in an
