The Cornell Small Farms Program project Farm OPS is providing a series of training workshops throughout 2019 for veterans interested in agriculture. Veterans interested in these programs must be enrolled at a VA facility in NYS (VISN2 area).

Join us for an introductory course on microgreens as we explore the basics of production under the guidance and instruction of Todd McLane, TC3 Farm Director and Assistant Adjunct Professor at Tompkins Cortland Community College.

Through lecture and hands-on learning, participants will gain insights into seeding and harvesting techniques, equipment and supplies, marketing strategies, and more. Whether it's for home use, as a start-up enterprise, or as a supplemental addition to existing enterprises, microgreens are a quick turn-over, scalable, and potentially profitable crop.

This workshop will be held at the EquiCenter Farm, and lunch is provided.

It is recommended that students arrive around 9:30 a.m. to get coffee, tea, and snacks, and get checked-in and settled before the class begins.
