Verdant Views: Linking Art and Nature Through Education

Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Virtual Event

Art inspired by nature can serve to display natural forms, teach scientific principles, and inform our own personal connection to the natural world. In this episode of Verdant Views, host Kevin Moss welcomes Gregory Page, Cornell Emeritus Professor of Art, Emily Detrick, Director of Horticulture at Cornell Botanic Gardens, and Jay Potter, artist and Graphic Designer at Cornell Botanic Gardens, for a discussion of how the gardens and natural areas of Cornell are used to enrich student learning through the intersection of nature and art.

Pre-registration is required; suggested donation $10-12. Please register HERE or through the ticket link at right. After registering, you will receive information about joining the webinar.

Verdant Views is an ongoing web series hosted by Kevin Moss of Cornell Botanic Gardens. Each episode focuses on a different topic related to plants, gardens, conservation, sustainability, and the vital connections between plants and peoples around the world.
