Verdant Views: Flavorful Herbs of Central and South America

Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Virtual Event

Verdant Views is a new videocast series, hosted by Kevin Moss of Cornell Botanic Gardens. Each episode will focus on a different topic related to plants, gardens, conservation, and the vital connections between plants and peoples around the world. In our first episode, Kevin will talk with Pam Shade, Curator of the Robison Herb Garden, about Central and South American herbs that will tantalize your taste buds!  You’ll learn about herbs that have become commercially available, as well as some not so familiar herbs that are used to flavor traditional and contemporary food and beverages in Central and South America.   Growing tips and recipes will be included to help you expand the flavor profiles of your garden and meals, and there will be time for questions & answers.

This program will be presented as a live webinar, and will be recorded for later viewing on-demand. Pre-registration for the live program is required.  Once you register you will be sent the Zoom link and password for participation.
