About this Event
View mapVegetable gardening has myriad benefits in store for you. In addition to supplying your household with fresh, healthy food, gardening is a great way to enjoy nature, help pollinators, experiment, get outdoors, and stay active.
Join me, Erica LaFountain, Community Horticulture Educator for this informative class, which will cover the basics of food gardening for new and new-ish vegetable gardeners. I will teach you how to plan your garden, test and amend soil, choose what to plant, start seeds, and care for your plants throughout the season. Get the basics down so you can have a great garden this year and every year.
Note: For those who wish to augment this online class with a hands-on session in the high tunnel at the Extension Learning Farm on 4/3/21 at 10am, select the $10 or $20 option (sliding scale). We will adhere to safety precautions. More information on the farm visit will be forthcoming!
