The United Way of Tompkins County (UWTC), together with several partners, is providing an opportunity for community members to help our food pantries and nonprofits during the annual Stephen E. Garner Week of Caring. 

The Week of Caring culminates at a special campaign kickoff event on Friday, September 22, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., at the Large Pavilion in Cass Park, 701 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY.

What to donate: The UWTC welcomes donations of shelf-stable food, baby care items, household essentials such as toiletries and cleaning/laundry supplies, and hygiene products. 

Where to donate: Cornell University campus drop-off locations include Toni Morrison Dining, Becker Dining, and Robert Purcell Community Center. You can also drop off your items at 313 N. Aurora Street. Other sites are listed on the event website below.

When to donate: Drop off all items between Monday, September 18, and Thursday, September 21. All items, no matter where collected, will be distributed to Tompkins County pantries and human services nonprofits by the end of the day on Friday, September 22.
