30 years ago, new technology empowered researchers to share their work freely and openly, before peer review. The result? An incredible acceleration in the speed of science and an expectation for open access across disciplines. At this panel discussion, open access leaders from arXiv, AfricArXiv, and UCLA will discuss how this movement has grown and evolved. We'll look ahead the next 30 years and ask: what opportunities can we seize to ensure that the open access movement continues to equalize and democratize access to research? What challenges must we overcome to truly serve all researchers around the world?
