Thomas Seeley, Professor Emeritus, Neurobiology and Behavior

The honey bee is as far above the general run of other insects as a human being is above all his fellow mammals.  The complexity of the social life of honey bees, their powers of mutual communication, their skills in employment, and their debates and decisions on collective actions, are so remarkable that they raise the question of the capacity of a worker bee for thinking.  In this talk, Tom will share some of the findings that he and his colleagues have made in studying these little creatures over the past 50 years.

As always, come one half hour prior to lecture for refreshments and great company!
