DESCRIPTION:Building strong\, ongoing relationships – with people from ma
ny different backgrounds – is a key step for building an inclusive organ
ization. But it’s a step that stops many people in their tracks. This hi
ghly-interactive workshop -- led by Natural Leaders Initiative Coordinator
Margo Hittleman -- creates a supportive environment for participants to e
xplore the attitudes\, skills\, behaviors\, and organizational norms that
can help (or hinder) in building respectful relationships across “differ
ence.”\n\nIn this workshop\, you will:\n\nClarify personal and organizat
ional purposes in seeking “diversity” and “inclusion.”Assess how y
ou and your organization currently build relationships\, and learn why a r
elational focus offers a better path to success.Explore attitudes\, behavi
ors and norms that support building respectful relationships across “dif
ference.”Practice the relationally-focused skills of “ask and learn”
as an antidote to the more common organizational orientation of “do and
tell.”Tap into your own intention and courage for reaching beyond limit
ing social divides.Leave with clearly defined steps to move from “talk
 ” to “action”.Fee\n\n$60/Chamber Members\; $75/Non-Members
