The hidden injustices in agriculture extend beyond the treatment of animals—they also impact the workers who sustain the industry. "The Unseen Struggle: Unpacking Labor & Social Inequities in Our Food System" explores the overlooked human cost of factory farming, from unsafe conditions to wage theft and migrant labor abuse.

Join Joshua Kidwell and Natalie Amezcua, educators at New Roots Institute, as they uncover the connections between labor rights, systemic injustice, and our food system.

The event will be lecture-style with room for discussion at the end. Food will be provided to in-person attendees (Goldwin Smith Hall G22), and a zoom option is available. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 5PM EST. This event is hosted by Animal Advocacy at Cornell. Please RSVP for food: https://forms.gle/UHW7V5mvWSxCACWe7
