About this Event
Cornell University Mann Library, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853, USA
#exhibitFood is essential for life, but it is also emotive, personal, and deeply embedded in our cultures and family histories.
The new Mann Library lobby exhibit The Power of Food: Confronting Climate Change One Meal at a Time showcases ways in which climate change is impacting the flavors, nutritional quality, and prices of the foods we love and need, as well as the ways understanding these impacts helps raise awareness and inspire action on climate change. Because everyone eats, and food production is so impacted by our natural environment, exploring these connections can help make climate change relevant and understandable to everyone. This exhibit is not a doom and gloom story about climate change, instead The Power of Food provides insight into how changes are impacting what we eat, and how to tap the power of food for positive change.
The exhibit is free and open to all during the open hours of Mann Library https://mann.library.cornell.edu/full-hours
