This workshop seeks to investigate the effects of temporary foreign worker programs (TFWP) on a range of different stakeholders, including non-TFWP workers, TFWP-worker families, state institutions, unions and communities at large, as well as on sectorial development. As case study serves US agriculture.
Speakers: Ms. Lyrianne Gonzalez (Cornell University), Mr. Daniel Costa (Economic Policy Institute), Mr. Edgar Franks (Familias Unidas por la Justicia), Mr. Roman Diaz (Foreign Labor Certification Unit - Employment Development Department) and Ms. Kristin Garcia (Wage and Hour Division - Department of Labor).
