Curious about joining the Peace Corps? Wondering how Peace Corps Volunteers engage with communities? Interested in development through the lens of agricultural extension?
Come learn from recent Peace Corps Volunteers about their experiences with the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), a grassroots, climate-smart and agroecological rice growing approach that ts well with the realities and conditions Peace Corps Volunteers work in. Six recent volunteers from Senegal, Guinea, Madagascar, Benin and Niger will discuss their work in training, extension and research involving SRI, and opportunities for Cornell students looking to join the Peace Corps or engage in rural development.
Pizza and drinks provided!
This event is jointly organized by Peace Corps at Cornell and SRI-Rice.
