At this half-day symposium, artist Claudia Joskowicz will be joined by curators, writers, and Cornell faculty to discuss topics related to her video works of the past fifteen years. It is being held in conjunction with the exhibition of Every Building on Avenida Alfonso Ugarte—After Ruscha (2011) at the Johnson Museum (on view now through June 9) and with the publication of the forthcoming monograph Claudia Joskowicz: Quietud en movimiento/Stillness in Motion (Editorial Turner, 2024).

Followed by Q&A and a break for refreshments

3:15PM
Presentation of papers by visiting curators and critics Saul Ostrow and Gabriela Rangel with an introduction by Saraphina Masters, Coordinator of Student Engagement and Public Programs

4:00PM
Joskowicz, Ostrow, and Rangel will be joined for a panel discussion by Hanna Tulis (Department of Architecture) and Cecelia Lawless (Department of Romance Studies)
