Please join us for the first of three events in our debate series discussing the Freedom of Expression. Our first debate, Speechless: Should Union Organizers Have Free Speech Rights in the Workplace?, will occur on Wednesday, January 31 in 305 Ives Hall. ILR School Dean Alex Colvin will give the opening remarks.

The ILR School, home of the Cornell Speech and Debate Program, presents this series exhibiting formal discourse on timely and controversial topics. Each event will be in collaboration with another Cornell University school or college and will present pre-and post-debate mini-workshops coaching debate skills. 

Cornell Speech & Debate Program hosts the debate series in collaboration with the ILR Office of Engaged & Experiential Programs, Einhorn Center for Community Engagement and SC Johnson College of Business.
