The 18th biannual Special Species Symposium is a weekend conference exploring topics in zoo, wildlife, exotic pet, and conservation medicine. Over the years, this academic event has attracted hundreds of students, veterinarians, and animal health professionals from across the globe. The conference will take place Friday, March 28th to Sunday, March 30th, 2025.​​
