Please join us for a screening of the documentary Hunting Yellow Pigs, hosted by the Department of Mathematics. The film tells the story of the Hampshire College Summer Studies in Mathematics (HCSSiM), an extraordinary summer program that has inspired generations of mathematically curious high school students. Despite its small size, the program has had an outsized influence on American mathematics, helping launch the careers of many leading mathematicians, scientists, and technology innovators. The screening will be of particular interest to students and faculty in mathematics, computer science, ORIE, physics, and statistics, as well as anyone curious about how mathematical discovery unfolds.

This is a public event open to everyone.
