Join us for our first shorescaping installation to increase riparian buffers on private properties and reduce non-point source pollution to Skaneateles lake. We will be planting trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and ferns that are native to our area and will provide both ecological and aesthetic benefits to homeowners and the community. For City of Syracuse and Skaneateles residents, this is a direct way to help protect your drinking water source.

All interested volunteers are welcome - no prior knowledge is needed!!

The planting will take place on Monday, November 19th from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

This pilot program is result of a partnership between CCE Onondaga and Onondaga Soil and Water Conservation District.
