  share the latest research\, technology and experiences to help land manag
 ers cope with today’s challenges of sustaining world-class hardwood fore
 st resources.  Topics covered by experts from Cornell University\, Cornell
  Cooperative Extension\, SUNY ESF\, and forest industry include: \n\n\n\nF
 orest health and monitoring\, including applications for novel technologie
 s like terrestrial lidar and drones\nThe benefits of deer exclusion throug
 h slash walls (www.slashwall.info) and initial experiences with overstory 
 removal harvests in successfully regenerated stands\nAssessing carbon bene
 fits of forest management systems and actions through Life Cycle Analysis 
 (LCA) \n\nAll are welcome to attend. Cost is $25.  Please register by 9/23
 . Participants should expect to walk up to one mile in forest conditions. 
  Please dress for the weather\, and bring lunch and water!  This event has
  been approved for 6.5 Cat 1 CFE credits by the Society of American Forest
 ers\, and 3.25 pesticide credits by the NYS DEC (1.75 Cat 2\; 0.5 Cat 3a\;
