In 2023, the world marks the 400th anniversary of the first publication of Shakespeare’s collected plays, and Cornell University Library celebrates this milestone with a special one-day-only exhibit and showcase.

Come see Cornell University Library’s copy of Shakespeare’s celebrated 1623 book, along with the three later folio editions of Shakespeare’s plays published in the 1600s. The Library’s rare book curators will be on hand to talk about these important works, along with other highlights from the Library’s collections on Shakespeare.

Our expert guides include Laurent Ferri, Curator of Pre-1800 Collections, and Katherine Reagan, Ernest L. Stern ’56 Curator of Rare Books and Manuscripts.
