SCREENWRITING IN LOS ANGELES
Jan 8-18, 2020
Scholarship Deadline: Oct. 15
Enrollment Deadline: Nov. 1

Explore creative writing for film, television & media careers
Los Angeles, California, is the moviemaking capital of the world and the place where some of the best screenwriters in the industry make their living.

While immersed in the culture of Hollywood, students will participate in a creative writing workshop each morning, develop an original short script, and study the craft of screenwriting in various mediums.

Each afternoon, students will explore careers in media arts during visits with working professionals such as writers, agents, FX artists, podcast producers, editors, and/or actors. Students will investigate how raw scripts are transformed into polished films and the skills needed for success in the field.

The class will culminate with a "pitch session" of your script with a film or television producer.
