Join one of the world’s most vibrant music and dance communities! Six Week Summer Session, 12 Classes, starts June 24th.

SALSA & LATIN DANCE
Introduction to Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Rueda de Casino and Afro-Cuban: the most popular Latin rhythms, movements and social dances seen and performed at nightclubs, festivals and in streets around the world.
Timing, Musicality, Partner Combinations and Open Steps: learn Latin dance technique and build repertoire, including spins and shines, to live drumming and classic recorded sounds.
Music, Video and Learning Resources: provided to all students at class and online.
Events and Networking: meet dancers and musicians at weekly dance parties, local happenings and via social media sites set up for class.

SCHEDULE
Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:25pm-8:55pm (12 classes total) from June 24th to August 5th at Helen Newman Dance Studio.

Cost: Only $100 for 12 classes, 1.5 hours each ($8.33 per class). Must sign up for whole series.

Class is open to everyone: students, non-students, university and local community.
No Partner Necessary. Singles welcome. Same-sex couples welcome.

Helen Newman Dance Studio: Dance over beautiful Beebe Lake at Ithaca’s largest and finest dance studio: 2800 square feet of refinished hardwood floors, full mirrors, surround sound, locker rooms, showers and free parking after 5pm.

DANCE SOCIALS
Held every Wednesday at Agava restaurant. Opportunity for dance practice, free extra instruction, socializing and enjoyment. Dinner discount for Salsa and Latin dance students. Starts June 18. Join Facebook Event.
