Getting to Know Your Soil and Sheet Mulching: 4/13/24 at 2pm at CCE Madison's Teaching Garden; 100 Eaton Street, Morrisville, NY

This volunteer led outdoor activity accompanies the Seed to Supper program and will be used to help you learn using hands-on activities. Learn how to tell if your soils is sandy, clayey, silty etc. Please bring a sandwich bag full of your moist, but not wet soil from home. We will also use the soil in the Teaching Garden as an example. We will also talk about sheet mulching: what is it, when is it useful etc. and sheet mulch an area of the Teaching Garden that we will then sow seeds in at the next hands-on activity!

Please submit your registration only once, the system can be slow and you may duplicate your registration. If we don't get enough registrants, we reserve the right to cancel this event.
