Rose House - Mini Seminar - How does an engineering degree prepare you to open a gym?

Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 8:00pm

Flora Rose House, Seminar Room
134 Gothics Way, Ithaca, NY 14853, USA

Two years ago, Cornell alumna Chantelle Farmer (BS ORIE '91, MPS InfoSci '13) launched group fitness studio FLX Fitclub in downtown Ithaca. She’s created a smash success, winning the vote for Ithaca's Best Fitness Classes in the last Ithaca Times Readers Poll, and gaining a loyal community of members that includes House Professor-Dean Rosemary Avery. On Thursday evening, Feb 7, she’ll tell us how her Cornell education and former career in the hi-tech industry helped her analyze the risks and rewards of starting a business doing what she loves. Seminar participants are invited by House Fellow Michael Fontaine to join a spin class at FLX Fitclub on Sunday, February 10th at 2:00 PM. Transportation will be provided.
