Held in conjunction with a year-long exploration of the theme of "Sound" across the humanities at Cornell, this gathering of academics, artists, and activists will explore the utterances, echoes, moans and groans that animate contemporary studies of sex, gender, and sexuality. The event will include performances by gender-bending luminaries of the stage and screen as well as plenary sessions featuring scholars and practitioners in conversation on panels, roundtables and interviews. Confirmed guests include: John Waters, Charles Busch, D.R.E.D., Holly Hughes, Terry Galloway, Moe Angelos, David Savran, Jose Munoz, Jill Dolan, Stacy Wolf, Ann Pellegrini, and Eng Beng Lim, among others.
