Virtual EventJoin curators from the H. F. Johnson Museum and librarians as we explore research strategies for finding and using a range of open access and library resources on global artists underrepresented on Wikipedia. Geopolitics, internet connectivity, language, race, and ethnicity may all conspire with gender identity to exclude the presence of some and boost the visibility of others on Wikipedia. This workshop will familiarize participants with the wealth of library resources available at Cornell and provide an introduction to some of the types of Internet ephemera that contextualize contemporary art production beyond the U.S.
This workshop will prepare editors for the March 8 Art + Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon.
Please register for this event. Zoom information will be given to registered attendees prior to the event.
