Cornell is a participant in the nationwide, 8 week Recyclemania Competition (February 5th – April 1st) - help us win by focusing on waste! Join the entire Cornell community in learning how to reduce personal waste and improve our waste sorting across campus (trash, recycling, compost). Our collective goals as an institution, competing against colleges across the nation, are waste minimization and waste diversion.

Why are recycle bins optimistic? Because they are full of cans!

• Recyclemania GameDay Basketball
  Event:  Men’s Basketball: Cornell vs. Yale
  Date:  Saturday, February 4th
  Time:  6:00-8:00pm
  Location:  Bartels Hall
   
• Kick the Cup Coffee (weekly)
  *Bring your own mug*
  Date:  Weekly Wednesdays
             Eight weeks from February 8th – March 29th
  Time:  10:00am-12:00pm
  Location:  Ho Plaza outside Willard Straight Hall
  Provided: Coffee, hot chocolate, tea
  Not provided: Disposable cups!
   

Did you know?  Over one million disposable cups are used on Cornell’s campus each year. Try bringing a reusable mug (and utensils and containers) when you eat on campus!

Get Involved: We have opportunities for students, staff and faculty to take on leadership roles and volunteer to improve waste management at Cornell during Recyclemania and throughout the year, including a Student Steering Committee for Recyclemania.
