Dr. Kelly Anderson, EMBO Journal Scientific Editor, presents "Publishing with the EMBO Journal.

Bio: Prior to graduate school, Kelly studied the genetics of mammalian circadian biology in the lab of Joseph Takahashi. Kelly subsequently received her PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she generated mouse models using gene editing technology to investigate cardiovascular long noncoding RNAs in the lab of Eric Olson. Kelly continued to study micropeptide regulators of heart function and disease in the group of Douglas Anderson at the University of Rochester and additionally worked on novel CRISPR tools to manipulate RNA for the treatment of toxic RNA diseases. Kelly joined as US editor of The EMBO Journal in 2021.
