Project Learning Tree
Taste of New York Building Conference Room

CCE Broom Campus
Monday, January 12, 2026 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Engage students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) as they explore why snags make excellent habitats for birds, mammals, insects, fungi, amphibians, and reptiles.

Project Learning Tree (PLT) offers lesson plans and activities for all ages and grade levels that can be easily incorporated into existing curriculum or used in informal settings.

Ninety-six multi-disciplinary, hands-on activities can be found inside PLT’s PreK-8 Explore Your Environment Activity Guide – each one tailored to specific grade levels and learning objectives.

Our trainings help educators learn how to integrate environmental education into their teaching and become comfortable teaching outdoors—in urban, suburban, and rural environments. PLT’s workshops are highly engaging and active learning experiences that provide participants the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to teach environmental education.

A hallmark of PLT is how easily you can begin using it right away in any non-formal setting–indoors or outdoors, as well as rural, suburban, or urban. PLT can be readily incorporated into your indoor or outdoor educational programs for youth and families.

Registration is required for this workshop. There is no registration fee. CCE YNOE PWT is financially supporting this program.

Lunch and snacks are not provided.
