http://www.sce.cornell.edu/ss/about/events/index.phpTo celebrate Cornell's sesquicentennial, the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions is kicking off its 2015 free summer events series with performances of the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta Princess Ida on Tuesday, June 23, and Wednesday, June 24. Performed by the Cornell Savoyards, this adaptation investigates the social and political milieu of Cornell's founding, reproduces the campus culture of several regional colleges, and honors the Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention.
Tickets are free (limit four per person) and will be available in the theater lobby starting at 6:30 p.m. on the day of the performance.
Cornell’s free summer events, which run from June 23 to July 31, include Tuesday performances at the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Wednesday lectures at Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall, and Friday concerts on the Arts Quad. For more information, visit summer.cornell.edu/events, e-mail cusce@cornell.edu, or call 607.255.4987. If you need accommodations to participate in this event, please contact us as soon as possible.
