Smart polymers, fibers, and textiles are rapidly advancing within the biomedical industry. This includes developing new biocompatible and bioresorbable polymer materials for applications such as tissue engineering, cellular agriculture, drug-eluting textiles, biodegradable sutures, stents, artificial blood vessels, and heart valves.  In this upcoming presentation, Dr. Vladimir Reukov will highlight recent results from his research team's biomaterials and engineering-based approaches. These include advances
in non-enzymatic cell harvesting, antimicrobial coatings for medical textiles, and creating three-dimensional cell culture structures. The discussion will also cover completed and ongoing projects to develop new biomaterials and address current challenges scientists face.
