A staged reading of a work in progress by John Colie.
Soul Mining is a short meditation on emotion, connection, and sensation as we consider the entirety of our lives and the eventual trajectory of the natural world. More of an allegorical or abstract representation than anything else, the work follows four unnamed characters as they puzzle over what they have been left with and what they have left behind.
Actors will be reading from scripts for the performance, and interested parties do not need to prepare anything in advance, but if desired, can listen to the song after which this play is named, written and recorded by the band The The.
For more information, contact John Colie at firstname.lastname@example.org

The Family Copoli
A post-apocalyptic burlesque and repopulation play by PMA Ph.D. student Andy Colpitts.
With the human race at its eleventh hour, a family burlesque troupe performs a sexy, tawdry spectacle to get the audience to copulate and repopulate the earth.
The Family Copoli: a post-apocalyptic burlesque and repopulation play will be holding auditions on January 26th. This new musical, written and directed by Andy Colpitts with music by British composer Michael Wookey is an exuberant, irreverent and dark exploration of entertainment in the end of days. Actors, singers, dancers, acrobats, instrumentalists, and performers of all talents and backgrounds are encouraged to audition!
Auditions will consist of a cold reading portion and a singing portion. Please prepare 16-32 bars (or a verse and chorus) of a song of your choice. The song may be of any style and should showcase your range and personality as a performer. For the cold reading, sides will be made available at the audition— no preparation/memorization necessary.
For more information, contact Andy Colpitts at firstname.lastname@example.org
