Pedro Villa-Forte presents an honors recital, conducting a volunteer choir in a program featuring a range of repertoire from early Italian Renaissance polyphony to contemporary American music. Titled "Sunlight on Ripened Grain," this concert will focus on themes of comfort and finding community during times of hardship. The centerpiece of the program will be the Requiem by 20th-century British composer Herbert Howells, a hauntingly beautiful masterwork written for a cappella double chorus.
