The group leadership program begins with an orientation, which at least two students from your group must attend. Orientations are offered only one time each semester; even if you plan to initiate pursuit in winter/spring 2020, we encourage you to attend the fall 2019 orientation.

Groups that participate will gain stronger alignment between their mission or purpose and their day-to-day activities, coaching and mentoring by OEI professional and graduate student staff, promotion on the Engaged Cornell website and social media, group funding and more.

Groups have one full year to earn the group certificate, with the first semester to participate in leadership education and confirm one off-campus community partner, and the second semester to take action off-campus and critically reflect.
