This event includes light refreshments, insights from students who shared their stories, and a tour of the garden displays.
This plant exhibition has come together through collaboration between Cornell Botanic Gardens staff and Indigenous students, staff, and faculty at Cornell. It highlights Indigenous relationships with plants and the land and features important plants for the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫʼ (Cayuga) people, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and other Indigenous communities represented at Cornell.
This exhibition features recordings of Indigenous students sharing plants important to them, their families, and communities—meant to inspire visitors to reflect their own relationships with the land and other beings.
