The Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team invites you to the New York State Agritourism Conference in Geneva, NY. The conference has two different tracks, over 18 speakers, an evening networking event, and on the second day offers interactive agritourism experience sessions. Attendees will also enjoy an evening networking event designed to build partnerships and foster collaboration. At the networking event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Taste NY vendors that produce and sell agricultural products in New York.

On the second day, you’ll have the opportunity to attend one of the two sessions: 

• Agritourism Accessibility: A two-hour session exploring accessibility in agritourism, including the definition of accessibility, key requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and practical strategies for creating welcoming experiences for all visitors. Following the educational presentation, participants will travel to Muranda Cheese Company for a guided tour and cheese tasting. Attendees will learn about the company's operations and discover how they have implemented accessibility measures to accommodate customers of all abilities. Please note: Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to Muranda Cheese Company.


• Product Development: A two-hour session to discover how the Cornell Food Venture Center helps entrepreneurs, food producers, and startups bring food products to market. Participants will gain an overview of the resources, technical expertise, and support services available through the center. During the session, you'll learn the key steps involved in developing a food product from start to finish—from idea generation and recipe development to regulatory requirements, food safety considerations, processing, packaging, labeling, and commercialization. Whether you're exploring a new food business idea or looking to scale an existing product, this session will provide practical insights into the product development journey and the tools available to help turn your concept into a successful market-ready product.
