No Time to Sleep

Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 9:00am to 5:00pm

Cornell Law School, 184 Myron Taylor Hall

The Cornell Center on the Death Penalty Worldwide invites you to witness No Time to Sleep, a live performance that charts the final day of a death row prisoner. The Center will livestream the performance in room 184 Myron Taylor Hall from 9 am to 5 pm on October 10. Please drop in for as long as you would like.

When the livestream begins, Prisoner Z will be sitting in his cell in solitary confinement, occasionally being silent, occasionally conversing with the guard who is watching him.

 But mostly, he will wait.

The play is a project of Justice Project Pakistan, in collaboration with Olomopolo Media and Highlight Arts. The concept is by Ryan van Winkle. It will be directed by Kanwal Khoosat and has been produced by Iram Sana.

The performance will go on without any breaks. It will be livestreamed across the world for 24 hours, starting midnight on October 10 (Pakistan Standard Time), the World Day Against the Death Penalty.

The livestream can also be viewed at: https://www.dawn.com/notimetosleep/
