Luciana de Luca (novelist, author of El amor es un monstruo de Dios) and Jules Inés Mamone aka Femimutancia (graphic novelist and illustrator; author of La madriguera and illustrator of the upcoming collected volume Queer Latin American Voices) will discuss what it means to write "monstrously" and to represent "monstrous" forms, practices, and technologies of writing in visual art and fiction. Questions guiding the conversation will include the tension between media technologies, techniques of literary and visual representation, historical conceptions of writing, and notions of "monstrosity," as well as the relationship between definitions of "monstrous writing" and techniques to convey them across artistic media.
