 "Transcriptional Priming of Mouse Retrotransposons is Regulated by the His
 tone Chaperone ANP32E"\n\nThe Murphy Lab studies how genes are turned on o
 r off as cells change from one type to another\, a process crucial for org
 anismal development and cell identity. Using zebrafish and mouse models\, 
 they focus on early developmental stages like gametogenesis\, stem cell fo
 rmation\, and differentiation. By combining genetics\, developmental biolo
 gy\, DNA sequencing\, and bioinformatics\, they explore how epigenetic mar
 ks—chemical changes that affect gene activity—guide developmental tran
 sitions. Their work aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms behind cell s
 tate changes\, which are important not only for development and reproducti
 on but also for understanding diseases like cancer.\n\nThe Molecular Cell 
 Bio Group\, hosted by the Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology\,
  is an interdisciplinary meeting to provide opportunities for labs across 
 Cornell’s Ithaca campus to network and share mechanistic biology researc
 h and knowledge related broadly to Cell and Molecular Biology. We hope the
