Cornell Consciousness Club would like to welcome you for Mid Week Meditation

So, why Meditate?- It boosts Health, Happiness (overall sense of well being), Social Connection (#compassion), Self control (regulates emotions) and increases productivity (thinking outside the box, expanding our comfort zone, improves memory and creativity)

What Meditation is NOT about (Some myths busted!)- Sitting Cross legged, having an empty mind, sitting for an hour a day, chanting in a strange language, Buddhism or Hindu Methods (Religious), Weird (US congressmen, NFL football leagues and the US Marine Corps are doing it, how weird can it be?) or Wearing Robes (robes...what? Anyone can meditate in comfortable clothing, in an office or home environment where you aren't disturbed for at least 15min.)

Challenges experienced Meditators face- Mind doesn't get still. We will address all of this, using simple but effective breathing techniques, process, fun activities and guided meditation to allow new and experienced meditators experience effortless and deep meditation in one hour.

Requirements for the session- No experience in meditation necessary. Open to 18 year and above. No special attire - wear a smile or get one while leaving. All of us will sit on chairs. You can bring your water bottle.
