About this Event
Olive Tjaden Gallery, Tjaden Hall
The Day I Saw 1000 Robins is an exhibition of new works by Melissa Johnson '98, associate professor of art at Cayuga Community College. Johnson is a Cornell alumna (CALS, rural sociology) and earned her M.F.A. and B.F.A from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2006, 2004). The work is a reflection of experiences in nature, and the brushstrokes and layered paint are a way to document space and time. Her paintings move between abstraction and landscape, connected by a love of nature, birds, and for paint itself.
This exhibition is cosponsored by Associate Professor Greg Page.
