About this Event

#SciArt"Melding Art & Science" demonstrates the interdisciplinary nature of art and science despite the two often being seen as very separate. Answering a call by Ingrid Comella ’23, nineteen members of the Cornell community—undergraduate and graduate students, staff members and postdoctoral researchers—submitted artwork that spans a wide variety of media, from monotype prints and sculpture to digital illustrations and AI generated video and sound. Pieces featured depict the artists' different interests: conveying scientific principles, exploring the use of technology as medium, and depicting the natural world here on Earth and beyond.
Ms. Comella is interested in art as an informal learning environment for science. This exhibit is part of a senior project through the Robert S. Harrison College Scholar Program.
