The Elephant Listening Project works to understand and conserve the critically endangered African forest elephant, a little-known species that’s been hit hard by forest loss and poaching for the ivory trade. Stop by the Cornell Lab Visitor Center between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to meet project staff and listen to the rumbles and calls of these elusive giants. You'll learn how studying sound is helping to keep these elephants safe in the rainforests of Central Africa. This is free a drop-in tabling event, suitable for all ages. No registration required.
