10 Patriot Hills Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980

Young (and Adult!) Explorers Nature Hike

Discover nature, make new friends, and have fun!

On these exploratory hikes, we will be looking at various forms of life in the forest, from plants and trees to birds and bugs. We will learn about the delicate ecosystem in which the forest exists and how various life forms interact and depend on each other for their survival.

Where: We will meet at the CCE Office (10 Patriot Hills Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980) at 8:45am to sign in, answer health-screening questions, and submit paperwork. After signing in, we will caravan to the trailhead. The exact hike location will depend on the local conditions.
When: Sunday, May 16, 9:00am - 11:00am
Who: Youth ages 8-13. Parents/Guardians are invited to join a guided hike with other adults while the youth are involved in the program.
Cost: $10 per family (per family of 5 - non-refundable). Please note that payment must be received by Thursday, May 13, to participate in the hike.

COVID-19 Precautions: To protect participants, we will be following all statewide guidelines identified by NY Forward including, but not limited to, maintaining 6 ft. of distance at all times, wearing facemasks, and having hand sanitizer available. A full list of guidelines will be provided to all participants prior to the hike.
